2003 Judges
 
Janet Quarels  -  Janet began working with the Miss Louisiana Pageant system in 1971 while employed at Louisiana Tech in Ruston.  She has since worked with the Miss Southeastern Pageant and served as Miss Southeastern's chaperone to the Miss Louisiana Pageant.  Janet also served as Field Director for the Miss Louisiana Pageant for ten years, both in North and South Louisiana, monitoring and assisting local directors with the production of their pageants.  Over the past 32 years, she has worked in all facets of pageants, from production and emceeing to judging preliminaries.  Janet has three children, and three of the worlds's most beautiful, handsome, and talented grandchildren.  She is married to Mike Quarels from Jonesboro and they reside in Hammond where Janet is employed as Executive Secretary to the President of Southeastern Louisiana University.
 
Margaret Brown  -  Margaret a 1987 Graduate of Winnfield Senior High School as well as a graduate of Northwestern  State University with a BSN in Nursing.  She has practiced nursing for nine years in Winnfield and in Florida.  She is married to Clifford Brown from Calvin, Louisiana and is the proud mother of one son and one daughter , Cartez and Mariah.  Margaret is a memeber of the Church of Christ and is employed as a Registered Nurse at Moss Home Health in Winnfield.  She is involved in many local civic activities for the elderly.  Margaret's interests include reading, traveling and watching sports (especially football).
 
Donna Parker  -  Donna has been involved in the Miss America Program for over 20 years.  She worked with the Miss Louisiana Forest Festival pageant in the early 80's and from 1992 throuth 1996 served as a director to the Miss Branson Scholarship Program.  She has also been involved in judging and helping out with other Miss America Preliminary Programs. Donna currently serves as the assistant director of the Miss Pineland Scholarship Program and is employed with Rhet Butler Trucking, Inc.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, John, her children and grandchildren.
 
Trey Junkin  -  Trey was born in Conway, Arkansas.  He spent most of his childhood following his father's military career as a U.S. Navy pilot from Hawaii to Florida to Virginia.  He graduated from Northeast North Little Rock High School and was recruited by Louisiana Tech University to play football where he met his lovely wife Sarah, who is from Winnfield, Louisiana.  In 1983, Trey was drafted into the National Football League by the Buffalo Bills.  Trey has now spent most of his adult life following his own NFL career from Buffalo to Los Angeles to Seattle to Phoenix.  Retiring in 2002 after nineteen years of professional football, he has moved with his wife and their two sons back to Lousiana.
 
Carolyn Gauthreaux  -  Carolyn Gauthreaux from Lake Charles, Louisiana is the Miss Louisiana Field Director for the Southwest area of the State.  She has been affiliated with the Miss Louisiana Pageant for over 30 years.  Carolyn produced and directed pageants for 17 years and has judged local Miss America Preliminaries in Louisiana and Texas.  Carolyn attends the Miss America Pageant as a member of the Miss Louisiana State delegation and has accompanied local and state queens throughout the state.  Carolyn is a retired elementary school secretary and the former business manager of the Lake Charles Civic Ballet Co.  She has also chaired the Southwest Regional Ballet Festival held in Lake Charles.  She and her husband Bobby, have 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
